The Sonos Playbar commercial (1 min and 32 seconds long) explains the main features:

Pros: Easy to setup and works seamlessly with other Sonos products. Can be expanded easily by adding other Sonos products. The sound bar does an excellent job with the surround effects.

Cons: It’s expensive (MSRP: $699)

The Sound

The virtual surround sounds generated a sound field that stretched to the whole room and was able to create the illusion that the sound was coming from both sides which I thought was cool.

Inside The Box

Your Sonos Playbar comes with:

  • Sonos Playbar
  • AC Power cord
  • Optical Audio cable
  • Ethernet Cable
  • Warranty and regulatory booklet
  • Sonos quickstart guide

Conclusion

I exclusively use this sound bar for my gaming room and it’s amazing. I have an Xbox 360 and PS3 hooked up to my TV and the Sonos Playbar completes this room. Setting up the playbar was easy and anyone can do it. I also added the SONOS subs and SONOS Play:3 to make it a 5.1 theater system. The whole process took me about 40 minutes to complete. If you can afford this, I would recommend it.
